Diagram showing fibrin and QLT-0267 involvement in the pathogenesis of peritoneal adhesion. Peritoneal insults induce the release of inflammatory cytokines, which promotes fibrin formation. Fibrin deposition on PMCs induces cytokine production from the PMCs, which further promotes peritoneal adhesion. QLT-0267 has inhibitory effects on both the ILK and FAK pathways.
