NF-κB regulates PCT expression through miR-513b. (a) HepG2 cells were pretreated with PDTC (30 μg/mL) or DMSO solvent as a control for 1 hr and stimulated with LPS (5 μg/mL) for 6 hr. The amount of miR-513b mRNA was detected using qPCR. Data are presented as the mean ± SD of six experimental replicates. (b) siRNA specifically targeting human NF-κB p65 subunit (50 nM) was transiently transfected into HepG2 cells followed by stimulation with LPS (5 μg/mL) for 6 hr.
