CoPPIX, SnPPIX and heme have broad-spectrum virus inactivation ability. (A) ZIKVBR, (B) ZIKV766, (C) CHIKV, (D) MAYV, (E) SINV and (F) VSV were incubated with different concentrations of heme (green square), CoPPIX (blue circles) and SnPPIX (red triangles) for 1 h, in the dark. 0.6% DMSO was used as vehicle. Afterwards, virus infectivity was assessed by plaque assay and plotted in dose-response curve with sigmoidal profile and variable slope of % of inhibition compared with untreated virus. The Graph’s dotted lines are representative of 50% inhibition in virus infectivity. Data are represented as means ± SEM of at least three independent samples.
