Upregulation of fibrosis-related genes by knockdown of WNT family genes. (a–e) RQ-PCR analysis of genes involved in TGFβ signalling (e.g., TGFB1, TGFB2, TGFB3, TGFBR2, SMAD2, and SMAD3) and EMT (e.g., SANI1, SNAI2, SNAI3, TWIST1, and VIM) in HBlEpC cells at 7 days after infection with lentivirus containing shWNT11 (a), shWNT2B (b), shWNT5A (c), shWNT10A (d), and shHB-EGF (e) constructs. A scramble construct was used as the control (shCTR). Gene expression is presented as expression relative to the shCTR and is represented as mean ± SEM, n = 4, *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 using one-way ANOVA analysis.
