Biotin display on the cell surface of E. coli via recombinant Ag43. (A) Schematic model of the Ag43-mediated peptide display. (B) E. coli cells carrying the recombinant Ag43-FLAG (induced with 100 µM isopropyl-β-D-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG)) with and without BAP were analyzed using anti-FLAG immunostaining (red) and NeutrAvidin-biotin staining (yellow) for detecting recombinant Ag43-FLAG and surface-displayed biotin, respectively, and subsequent fluorescence microscopy.
