Oxytocin Receptor expression in normal human and mouse lacrimal glands. (A) Compiled publically available transcriptomic analyses of human and mouse lacrimal glands indicate expression of the oxytocin receptor gene. Using Western blottingand RT-PCR (B), and immunofluorescent staining of normal mouse (C–E) and human (F–H) lacrimal glands confirmed expression of the oxytocin receptor in the lacrimal gland. For protein and PCR blots mouse and human samples were run and cropped from the same gel for accurate standardization.
