From: Fate of mesoangioblasts in a vaginal birth injury model: influence of the route of administration
Routes of injection of rat mesoangioblasts (rMABS) for targeting the pelvicorgans in a simulated vaginal birth injury model in rat. (A) Local– injections were done laterally to the vagina. (B) Intravenous injection was performed in the tail vein. (C) Common Iliacs arteries- rMABseGFP/fLUC were injected in both common iliac arteries in two steps. The external iliacs were clamped and antegrade injection was done at a 45° angle along the vessel orientation. The procedure was performed bilaterally. (D) Aorta – rMABseGFP/fLUC were injected directly into the aorta 1.5 cm above the bifurcation. Before injection, both external iliac arteries were occluded with a vascular clamp.
