From: Primary human nasal epithelial cells: a source of poly (I:C) LMW-induced IL-6 production
Reduced IL-6 production in response to TLR agonists 2–4 after priming of cells with Poly (I:C) LMW. IL-6 was measured using ELISA after HNEC-ALI cultures were primed with Poly (I:C) LMW (10 µg/ml) then TLR agonist (HKLM (108 cells/ml), LPS (1 µg/ml), or Poly (I:C)) LMW. IL-6 levels were normalised to the non-primed control cells and expressed in pg/mL (n = 5). ANOVA, followed by Tukey HSD post hoc test. **P < 0.001; values are shown as means ± SEM.
