Seedlings were grown in hydroponic medium containing normal nutrition (control; 2.5 mM N, 300 μM P), low N, or low P (LN, 0.02 mM; LP, 2 µM ), or subjected to treatment with sodium nitroprusside (SNP, 10 µM), 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4,4,5,5- tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide (cPTIO, 80 µM), GR24 (analog of SLs, 2.5 µM), or abamine (100 µM) for 14 days.
