The thalamic eminence is a source of both TS and BAC neurons. The TE was labeled with GFP by in utero electroporation at E12.5. Distribution of GFP-positive cells was analyzed in the TS and BAC at P7. Figures show double immunostaining for GFP and CalR. Sections were counterstained with Hoechst 33342. Both TS and BAC neurons were labeled with GFP in the electroporated postnatal brains (arrowheads). ac, anterior commissure; BAC, bed nuclei of the anterior commissure; TS, triangular septal nucleus.
