Oxidative stress led to decreased growth and biomass density. Oxidative stress was induced in the bacterial cultures H and M with pulses of H2O2 and menadione, respectively, after 5.5 h and 11.5 h. The culture H + A was treated with H2O2 after 5.5 h and then with the hydroxyl radical scavenger mannitol after 8.5 h. Values are expressed as mean ± SD, n = 3.
