Results are mean ± S.D. (some S.D. bars are smaller than the symbols). Comparison of different groups was performed by ANOVA with post-hoc Tukey HSD and Bonferroni, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests. Friedman and Wilcoxon Signed Rank tests were carried out to compare readings at different incubation times. *p < 0.05 CFU reduction >90%.
