From: Efficient production of a mature and functional gamma secretase protease

Monitoring cell viability and YFP expression. Representative pictures of baculovirus infected Sf9 cells viewed using bright field (A,C) or fluorescent microscopy (B,D). Sf9 cells infected with empty baculovirus EmBacY (A,B) or those infected with the recombinant baculovirus expressing PS1(wt)-γ-secretase (C,D). (E) V2 recombinant baculoviruses were used to infect Sf9 cells (1 × 106 cells/ml; ~90% viability) at MOI of 1 PFU. Every 12 hours post infection (HPI) 1 × 106 cells were harvested, and YFP expression was monitored by using a plate reader at ~520 nm against a PBS blank. Relative fluorescence units were plotted against time. Magnification 20x, Scale Bar 100 μm.
