Complementation of E. coli ΔbioH (A) and M. loti ΔbioZ (B) auxotrophic mutants on M9 and RDM medium. The mutants were complemented with empty vector and the plasmid encoded genes from E. coli and N. gargensis. The N. gargensis gene estN1 was able to restore growth in both bacterial strains in contrast to the other esterase estN2.
