Serum levels of miR-122 (a), miR-192 (b), miR-194 (c), and miR-215 (d) in subjects with NFG, IFG, and manifest type 2 diabetes. The miRNAs -192, -194 and -215 were significantly higher in patients with manifest diabetes as compared to patients with NFG or IFG. Circulating miR-122 did not significantly differ between any groups. To compare miRNA levels between patient groups the Kruskal-Wallis test was run followed by Dunn’s procedure for pairwise comparisons and a Bonferroni correction for multiple testing. T2DM: type 2 diabetes mellitus. Horizontal lines show the medians.
