From: Non-invasive nanosecond electroporation for biocontrol of surface infections: an in vivo study

The example of fluorescence photographs of propidium iodide negative (A) and propidium iodide positive (B) cells. For better perception and indication of permeabilization multiple cells are shown, however for quantitative analysis of cell permeabilization only single cells were used. Due to electroporation (B) the propidium iodide can successfully enter the cells, which is not the case in the untreated control (A).
