From: Shallow carbon storage in ancient buried thermokarst in the South Kara Sea

Fragment of a seismic line (see location e-f in Fig. 1) along which we implemented gas hydrate modeling for 30 and 40 °C/km geothermal gradients. Yellow diamonds indicate gas sampling stations. Our results show that approximately 20% of mapped ancient thermokarst may presently exist within the gas hydrate stability zone.
