The left side illustrates overall means (with SEM) averaged across experimental blocks and orders. On the right side, separate means are plotted for each order. The angry-happy order started with angry facial expression cueing threat during the instantiation block and happy faces cueing threat during the following reversal block. For the happy-angry order, instructed threat/safety contingencies were vice versa.
