Simulated intensity reading of the light path for the topographies 8 and 12 in SSPs with 24, 72 and 288 pie slices. It may be appreciated that once the ratio between the number of slices and the topology exceeds 6, only marginal change in the ring neatness may be seen. The intensity simulations have been individually normalised, unlike in Fig. 8, where global normalisation was applied.
