OEO/thymol-mediated apoptosis of MDA-MB231 cells involves a caspase-dependent mechanism and mitochondrial stress. MDA-MB231 cells were exposed to the IC₅₀ of the OEO and thymol, and the expression of procaspases, Bax and Bcl2 were revealed by Western blot analysis.
