Fraction 𝑓 (%) of concave and convex interfaces when the displacement front is approximately 8 mm away from the intlet. Overall, the fraction of concave interface increases while the fraction of convex interfaces decreases as θ is increased from 45° to 135°. In the range of θ between 60° and 120°, substantial co-existence of concave and convex interfaces occurs.
