Biliary marker positivity and functionality of FSK-induced BC. (ac) HepaRG cells were either exposed to 0.1% (vol/vol) DMSO (control/CTR) or exposed to 50 µM FSK for 72 h. (a) The biliary markers P-gp and MRP2 as well as the tight junction marker ZO-1 were immunolocalized, as described in Methods; specific immunolabelling appears as green fluorescence on fluorescence microscopy pictures, whereas DAPI-stained nuclei are blue. BC-associated green fluorescence is indicated by white arrows. (b) BC numbers were determined according to P-gp- or MRP2-related immunostaining.
