P140 compromises heat-shocked cells upon a second mild oxidative stress. MRL/N-1 cells were heat-shocked and led to recover at 37 °C for 24 h in the presence or absence of P140 and control peptide ScP140. Another shock induced either by HS (30 min at 45 °C) or H2O2 (for 1 h) was then applied followed by a 24h-recovery time at 37 °C. Cell death was assessed using PI staining and flow cytometry. Mean values ± SD of two independent experiments with triplicates are presented. Two-way ANOVA was used to evaluate the statistical significance.
