Inhibitory effect of 2 on antigen (MBP, black bars) and mitogen (ConA, grey bars) induced proliferation in TMBP cells, as evaluated via [3H]-thymidine incorporation. White bars show basal proliferative levels of cells in absence of specific activation. Data are presented as mean ± SEM of five independent experiments. Vehicle and nicotinic acid (500 µM) were used as internal controls. Two-way ANOVA test shows statistically relevant differences in proliferation upon incubation with high doses of 2, when compared to vehicle (threshold dotted line); (*)p < 0.05.
