Comparison between measured, simulated, and analytically derived background photon counts in the Gold-signal region for a polarised synchrotron source and the 30cm-diameter phantom. Like in Fig. 5, also here is a good agreement of the photon counts in the signal region when experimental data (red) are compared with simulation (blue), and mathematical model (black).
