CCL2 and Gal-1 protein levels in tracheal aspirates of premature infants with RDS. (A) The relationship between tracheal aspirate CCL2 and Gal-1 protein levels was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. (B) In tracheal aspirates from premature infants requiring mechanical ventilation for RDS, CCL2 and Gal-1 protein concentrations were significantly higher in female infants developing BPD compared to all other infants.
