From: Proof of concept study of mass cytometry in septic shock patients reveals novel immune alterations
Expression of 4 monocyte markers is regulated after septic shock. After normalisation, median expression of phenotypic markers on each SPADE node of monocytes was shown on heatmap after hierarchical clustering for 4 septic shock and 5 healthy donors. The red and blue colours indicate over- and under-expressed markers respectively and the colour intensity specifies the expression level. Rectangles in green and purple indicate respectively markers down-regulated and up-regulated on particular nodes in septic shock patients compared to controls.
