Total content (µg/g DW) of tropane alkaloids (hyoscyamine and scopolamine) in different hairy root lines at the end of the culture period (45 days). The concentrations of the alkaloids were determined using LC-MS/MS. Each set of bars corresponds to one transgenic line, and within each set, the replicates of independent transgenic lines are as depicted in Table 1. Error bars show the standard deviations for the independent lines. The level of significance obtained using One-Way ANOVA is indicated as follows: **p < 0.01.
