Correlation between MMP-9 plasma levels and T-lymphocyte phenotype. CD4+ T-lymphocyte immune senescence percentages (a), CD8+ T-lymphocyte immune activation percentages (b) and CD8 E percentages were positively correlated to MMP-9 plasma levels (c). CD8 N percentages were negatively correlated to MMP-9 plasma levels (d). All correlations were performed using Spearman test (Spearman coefficient [ρ] and statistical significance [p] are reported in the graphics).
