The results suggest that the functional classes of amino acids and specialized metabolism show a tendency to benefit from network multicontrol via MDSM rather than via MDSI. In contrast, the results for the functional classes of fatty acids and lipids and hormone metabolism show an enhanced tendency to benefit from MDSI control.
