Parvalbumin stained tissue for region of interest analyses. Example of facilitated identification of a region of interest, parietal cortex, using adjacent parvalbumin stained tissue. Parietal cortex (arrow) can be readily identified by the emergence of layer IV (medial boundary) and ending at the lateral border where parvalbumin staining becomes more robust.
