Binding and PSA-cleavage studies of ML prodrugs. (A) Chromatograms of incubation studies of ligand 2 with MSA. A time-course experiment showed that the reaction was completed after 1 h. (B) Chromatograms of hPSA-cleavage studies. The presence of the released compound (peptide 2) was confirmed by RP-HPLC and MALDI-TOF analysis. (C) PSA-cleavage efficiency after 2 h incubation with prodrugs 2–4. Prodrug 2 showed the highest conversion rate. (D) Release kinetic studies of prodrug 2.
