Results are expressed as the mean percentage of DAB-positive area of airway epithelium +/− SD. Statistical comparisons were determined using two-way ANOVA. * indicates P = 0.0335. (C) Muc5ac: representative immunohistochemically stained sections. Distribution of Muc5ac stained area was focal and hindered histological quantification.
