15N-HSQC NMR spectra of WT and mutant DENV2C proteins. Samples were diluted in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 6.0), 0.2 M NaCl, and the final protein concentration depended on the DENVC construct (see Methods). The experiments were carried out at a 900-MHz spectrometer (Bruker) at 300 K. (A) WT DENV2C; (B) L50 S DENV2C; (C) L54S DENV2C; (D) I88N DENV2C; (E) L81N DENV2C; and (F) spectrum superposition of all five DENV2C proteins.
