Time-averaged and space-integrated EHD force parallel to the dielectric surface as a function of the number of electrodes. The method of counting electrodes is described in the figure. The increment of the EHD force from two electrodes to three electrodes is caused by the absorption of the surface charge. The integrated EHD force linearly increases with an increase in the number of electrodes beyond three.
