LincRNAs and the regulation of TGF-β1-stimulated PAI-1 release. Control and IPF fibroblasts were transfected with LNA antisense sequences against LINC00960, LINC01140 or scrambled controls overnight. Cell were then stimulated with TGF-β1 for 72 h prior to (A) isolation of mRNA and measurement of LINC00960 or LINC01140 by qRT-PCR or (B) measurement of supernatant PAI-1 by ELISA. Data represents the mean +/− SEM of five control or IPF individuals. Statistical significance was performed using the repeat measures 1-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a Dunnett’s test where *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 and ****p < 0.0001.
