Layout for the cross-correlation frequency resolved optical gating (XFROG) pulse measurement setup. The LWIR pulse and the 800 nm gating field are sent to a 50 mm diameter, −200 mm focal length silver coated mirror to non-colinearly overlap the beam on a 8 × 8 × 0.4 mm AgGaS2 Type (I) crystal for sum frequency mixing. The XFROG signal is then spatially filtered with an iris and collected with a fiber and measured with an NIR-Vis spectrometer. The spectrogram is taken by recording spectra versus delay using an automated stage on the gating field. A measurement of the gating field can be performed with an additional FROG when removable mirror M1 is inserted into the beam line.
