Circulating levels of chemokines in patients with dengue infection or HIV plus dengue coinfection: The concentration of the chemokines RANTES/CCL5 (A), PF4/CXCL4 (B), IL-8/CXCL8 (C), MCP-1/CCL2 (D), IP-10/CXCL10 (E) and MIP-1β/CCL4 (F) were quantified in plasma samples obtained at the acute or recovery phase of dengue illness from patients infected with dengue only or coinfected with HIV and dengue (HIV + dengue). The horizontal lines in the box plots represent the median, the box edges represent the interquartile ranges and the whiskers indicate 5–95 percentile. *Signifies p < 0.05 compared to patients with the same profile of infection (dengue or HIV + dengue) at the recovery. #Means p < 0.05 between dengue and HIV + dengue infected patients.
