Prophage Induction Promotes Amyloid Release from E. coli in vitro. CR absorbance upon binding to amyloid from intact E. coli supernatant (dashed line) and from E. coli supernatant after prophage induction (solid line). Both curves are approximately equal to zero at the isosbestic point (403 nm), and the maximum difference in absorbance was observed at 541 nm. Both spectra were normalized to the absorbance spectrum of free CR.
