  1. The standard deviations are shown in the parentheses. The table also show p-values for comparison of the two groups. Independent-samples t-tests were used to compare age, IQ, and AMMA scores and a χ2 test was used to compare distribution of gender distribution in the two groups. IQ was measured using Raven’s Advanced Progressive Matrices and musical aptitude was assessed using the tonal score obtained in the Advanced Measures of Musical audiation (AMMA) test.
