Luciferase gene expression is dependent on culture condition. C4-2B-CMV1 (left panel) and C4-2B-CMV2 cell lines (right panel) were either mono- or co-cultured with BMSC in a Transwell assay for the indicated time points. The relative bioluminescence (a), DNA content (b) and relative luciferase gene expression (c) were assessed. Three independent experiments each had four technical replicate cultures (n = 4) were performed. Statistical significance was determined using two-way ANOVA (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.001, ***P < 0.00001).
