Mass change as monitored by the quartz crystal microbalance analyser method of scale deposited from hot spring water subjected (4 Hz 5 mT, 6 Hz 5 mT and 8 Hz 5 mT) or not subjected (No treatment) to electromagnetic field treatment. The relevant experiments were carried out in 2016 on water samples from the hot spring in Matsushiro, Nagano.
