LR values were binned <6,000 pN/s (gray bars), from 6,000 to 70,000 pN/s (blue bars), and >70,000 pN/s (red). (b) Distribution of the spring constant of the molecular Fg-FnBPA complex (km) at low (<500 pN, gray bars) and high (>500 pN, red bars) forces. For these experiments, AFM tips were coated with protein by incubating tips in 100 µg/mL of Fn or Fg prior to force measurements.
