Exercise reduced RBC Nitrite/RSNO/Fe-NO concentration in SCA patients. RBC Nitrite/RSNO/Fe-NO levels were significantly higher in SCA compared to healthy controls (AA) at Rest. Significantly decreased Nitrite/RSNO/Fe-NO concentrations were measured in SCA after exercise (VT 1) while levels in AA remained unaffected. Data are mean ± s.d. of n = 8 AA and n = 8 SCA.
