PIDD decreases the amount of ubiquitinated NRF2. HEK293T cells were transfected with different amounts of PIDD expression plasmid in the presence of 10 µM MG132, which blocks degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. NRF2 was then immunoprecipitated (IP) from cell lysates and its level of ubiquitination was quantified by anti-ubiquitin immunoblotting (IB). The upper and lower panels were from the same gel. The gel was transferred to the same membrane, which was cut to probe with different antibodies. The entire image of each exposed membrane is shown.
