NGD and NHD cannot serve as substrates for PARP and sirtuins. (A) Immunoblot analysis of PARP1 activity. Auto-conjugation of each NAD analog was detected by Western blotting using anti-PARP1 antibody. (B and C) Deacetylaion activity was measured by using specific probes. Recombinant SIRT1 (B) and SIRT3 (C) was incubated with each NAD analog. Data are presented as means ± SD (n = 3).
