Panels b–d are fraction rock cover predicted using MESMA, SESMA and DPM respectively. Circle, square, triangle, diamond and ellipse symbols represent the rock coverage less than 10%, 20%, 30–40%, 55–70% and 75% respectively. Symbols in white are in sunlit areas and those in yellow are in shadow. Panels e and f show identical land covers where only the aspects are different in sunlit and shadow areas. These two image clips are extracted from satellite imagery (acquired on October 1, 2012) available on Google Earth and data provider is Digital Globe.
