From: Binding to medium and long chain fatty acyls is a common property of HEAT and ARM repeat modules
HEAT and ARM repeat proteins bind to myristoylated peptides directly. Peptide pull-down experiment using recombinant proteins purified from E. coli with (a) H3 peptides with different acyl modifications on lysine 9, and (b) peptides with a myristoyl group on a lysine side chain or the N-terminus.
