By substituting V13 = V23 = 0 and R13 → ∞, the circuit becomes equal to the source (left) side of Fig. 1. The right-hand boundary circuit of Fig. 1 will be obtained by setting V12 = V13 = V23 = 0 and R12 → ∞ and R13 → ∞.
