From: Dependence of track etching kinetics on chemical reactivity around the ion path
Lengthwise etching rates of 2.8 GeV U and 1.7 GeV Xe tracks having the same lengths of 85 μm as the functions of the residual ranges. 400 nm is assumed as the visibility threshold of the etched channel.
